About this 3D model

The painter Vernet (1789-1863) was the director of the French Academy in Rome when Thorvaldsen modelled his bust. The following year, Vernet painted a portrait of Thorvaldsen, which today hangs in the collection of paintings on the museum’s 1st floor.
