*** UPDATE: Version 2 is available, more print efficient than the original. *** *** A richer experience to put together with more pieces *** https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-dragon-egg-puzzle-v2-120131 This is a remix of one of the Dragon Eggs by FerJerez3D, but broken into puzzle pieces. The original egg looks slightly different. I smoothed out some of the overlapping areas to make it look like overlapping spiked tentacles. The example pictures were printed at 125%. When I printed it I made the clearance gaps at about 0.1 mm. Because of some print settings that caused an imperfect surface, my test print was a bit tight and required some sanding down of some bumps on the two middle piece's slide shafts. Can be printed without supports. However, a tiny amount of supports on a couple spikes could help depending on the piece. One of the main reasons I made this a puzzle was because I had difficulty printing this as a whole file without a ton of supports. So I converted it to a puzzle using my supportless sphere puzzle design so that I could print this with minimal to no supports piece by piece. A plus to doing it this way, if a spike breaks, a single piece can be reprinted rather than the whole thing again. I added a file with all the files as a whole single object too just in case someone wanted it not in puzzle form. This was a ton of fun to make, hope you enjoy it.
