About this 3D model

An entry into the Electromaker Kits competition. This design has an intriguing fluidity about it. The way it folds and forms different shapes, how it disperses light uniquly with every fold... This design is PRINT IN PLACE. You can just take it off your printer and begin shaping it! This piece of art would look amazing with 2 or 3 (or even more!) sheets stacked on top each other, forming an eye catching sculpture when the lamp is off.. and a brilliant lamp when lit up. Pictured is one printed sheet. I cant justify using up anymore filament on this project given that i do not have the kit to build the lamp itself. I had alot of fun with this design, playing around with print-in-place hinges and such. Its quite fun to just play with even if you dont use it as a lamp shade. You could even scale it down (within reason, given the hinge situation) to form an interesting fidgeting toy! I hope you have as much fun with this model as I am.
