About this 3D model

An entry into the Electromaker Kits competition.This lamp shade and stem is fun and modern. The lamp shade prints flat (in the net of a dodecahedron) and is then folded and glued. To assemble: Fold part A and glue. Repeat for part B. Then glue the 2 halves together to form the complete dodecahedron shape. For the rest of the lamp; refer to the electromaker kit instructions. The print pictured was printed at .6% scale since I cant afford to buy the lamp kit and did not want to waste filament. I have never designed a foldable type model before so I had alot of fun (and frusteration) trying to figure out how to print the dodecahedron shape. Im sure there are more effective ways of modeling this part but I like to learn-as-I-go (my favourite reason for entering design competitions is to test the limits of my primative design capabilities whilst following a breif).
