About this 3D model

The shape of the lampshade is modeled like a folding of a traditional Japanese lantern in rice paper. Like the folds of the balloon of the first hot air balloon which flew away in 1783 with a rooster, a sheep and a duck aboard the wicker basket. The nacelle material was produced by subtractive extrusion via propellers, the base of which consists of a triangle. This evokes the weaving of the wicker, and the feeling of paper reminds that the Montgolfier brothers made their first airship envelopes with a mixture of paper and fabrics.
