About this 3D model

2023/12/19 : V10 Some small improvements made, better fit, try the new profile PETG, 0.1mm layer, 3 walls, 70% infill I designed this mod to protect the AMS Feeding Funnel from wear and tear. This is a common problem that is even mentioned in the official Wiki, and one that your AMS will suffer over time. I wanted to keep a simple and straightforward design that would print quickly and not add complicated or unnecessary geometries to the model. This model can be used WITH and WITHOUT PTFE tube. I have tried it with the PTFE tube that Bambu uses, and I have also tried it with Capricorn. Works with any 4mm OD PTFE tube . After trying other designs from the community, I ran into numerous problems: - The designs were too complex/refined, when the function I was looking for was very basic: protect the AMS Feeding Funnel from wear. - The designs were not properly tested, and fit poorly with the AMS. Some entered so forcefully that I feared damaging the Funnel itself. Others left when they were introduced, due to the non-existent tolerances that were used when designing them. - Some models left the Funnel scratched/damaged when installing and uninstalling it. - Other models were even dangerous when trying to remove them from the AMS: they installed more or less well, but if you want to uninstall them... you can break some component of the AMS. I have made several iterations of my model , and after dozens of impressions, I can say that the final version meets what I was looking for for this mod: - Easy installation. - Simple design. - Possibility of using or not using PTFE tube. - Easy uninstallation. - Does not aesthetically damage the AMS during installation/removal. - Provides some flexibility in case the AMS exerts a lot of force. The length of the PTFE tube that I have used in my tests is 15mm . Approximately 2mm (a little less, 1.8mm) would be below, and the rest would protrude above the model.
