New Smooth AMS Gen2 for Hydra Mod . Thanks to @firemanjc, we developed the Hydra version of my Gen2 Smooth AMS. He did an outstanding job providing the information I needed to design it properly. Hydra mod is an extreme design with an undesirable, steep feeding angle. Here is my solution. A variation of my popular Smooth AMS Gen2. This is designed For the Hydra Mod. But it would work fine in an unmodified AMS. ? Issue Addressed: Smooth the jumping of the near-empty spool. Reduce the AMS forces required to feed the filaments. The PTFE tube acts like a fishing line to keep a smooth and even feeding. Reduces friction. Prevent the filament from eating the AMS feeding funnel or anything. Yep, it's not the only one out there. ? What is distinctive about it; NO ROOM IS TAKING FROM THE SPOOL. More compact but still as strung. (4.25g per unit and print 50% faster). It can be printed in PLA, but I strongly recommend using minimum ABS, PETg, or better. Yes, you can use any monster desiccant box. I highly recommend my Slim Desiccant box .
