The Human Comedy also known as The Mask, is a marble sculpture made by the artist Ernest Christophe. The sculpture is a representation of a female figure holding a mask in front of her face. This is an allusion to the multi-faceted nature of a person's social role. This image disrupts the idea of the human being associated to a single identity.
