About this 3D model
This model moulded after the bronze original is situated in the Museum d'Orsay. The bronze had been originally commissioned by French State in 1893 for the Museum d'Histoire in Paris. Coutan is best known for his iconic sculpture placed in New York above the entrance of the Grand Central Terminal. After his art studies he then started teaching at the Fine Arts School. There he has been known for expressing his disdain towards Rodin's studies and the Impressionist sculptors in general.
