About this 3D model

The castle of Montal was built between 1523 and 1535 by Jeanne Balzac. The castle has been built under Italian style architecture. A human head, inspired by the grotesque style decorates the door. The portraits of Montal’s family members, identified by their names, are sculpted into medallions decorated with realism. The intervention of the collector Maurice Fenaille allows in 1903 to have the sculptures reunited all in one place. That is when all of the sculptures and important reliefs are casted for their preservation.
