About this 3D model
In 1783, after producing a marble bust of Racine for the Comedie Francaise, Boizot asked the Comte d'Angiviller, Director General of the King's Buildings under Louis XVI, to commission this statue. The titles of Racine's best-known plays are inscribed in the book that lies at his feet: Alexander the Great, Andromache, The Litigants, Britannicus, Berenice, Bajazet, Mithridates, Iphigenia, Esther, Phaedra.
