Livestock are sacrificed to the spirits in annual rituals of renewal linked to the agricultural cycle to ensure prosperity and abundant harvests. Representations of the heads of mouflon sheep and wild goats, made of carved wood, symbols of these cults, adorn the doors of important buildings and houses of worship.
