A squat, rune-etched dirigible hangs under a bulging gas envelope, its brass fittings hissing as the engines strain against the wind. Only a single dwarf crewman rides the gondola, strapped in beside the clanking steam cannon that spits fire and shrapnel down on anything foolish enough to approach the fortress walls. From above, he can rake siege towers, monsters and enemy artillery, turning carefully laid assaults into smoking wreckage in moments. The recoil shakes the whole craft, but the pilot only laughs, yanking levers and cursing the clouds for getting in his way.
