The Dwarf handgunners stood their ground as the boar-riding orcs thundered closer, lowering their rune-etched barrels with practised calm. A deafening volley split the air, black powder smoke rolling forward as beasts and riders alike crashed to the ground in a tangle of torn flesh and shattered tusks. The few orcs who somehow staggered on found dwarf steel waiting for them, as the gunner axes mounted beneath the barrels swung out to finish the work at arm’s length. In moments, the charge was nothing but bodies and broken harness, the echoes of the shots still muttering across the field. The dwarves threw back their heads in rough laughter, slapping their beloved weapons as if congratulating old friends on a job well done. Dwarf Handgunners .
