Replacement system for the original Bambu Lab spool holder, designed to be compact and functional even when there isn’t enough space to use the stock support (as in my case). It integrates ABEC 7 (or ABEC 5) bearings, which reduce friction and make the spool rotation much smoother, improving filament feeding during printing. Thanks to the support's geometry, it fits 1 kg, 2 kg, and 5 kg spools. Assembly procedure Components X2: 2 main printed parts (one “upper” and one “lower”), 2 bearings, 2 small clips. Inserting bearings Take the two bearings and insert them into the circular slots at the ends of one of the two main parts (pushing them in until they stop). “Sandwich” closure of the two parts Place the other main part on top of the first, aligning the ends (the semicircular areas) so that the bearings remain centered and free to rotate. Locking with the clips Insert the two clips into the “U” slots at the ends. They are used to lock the two halves together and prevent them from opening. Smoothness check Check that the bearings rotate freely: the spool should rest on the outer ring and spin without sticking. Positioning and use Place the holder near the printer (or wherever you have space) and rest the spool on the two bearings. The spool (1/2/5 kg) stabilizes and rotates easily.
