The portraits and busts part of the collection are many and most of them represent illustrious figures from the past. Claudius was the fourth Roman Emperor. At first he was not considered as a probable heir to the Reign. But after Caligola’s purges, where he killed most of his possible successors, Claudius was the only one remaining.
