"Come get it!" Zaporozhian cossacks - proud and skilled warriors from the territories of the modern-day Ukraine - were known for mocking their enemies with insults and offensive gestures to provoce them into loosing order and attacking fortified positions. These 2 free 15mm miniatures represent such cossacks, armed with saber. axe and early flintlock musket. They can represent either Registered Cossacks who received (at least in theory) payment from the Polish-Lithuanian Crown or independent Zaporozhian Sich Cossacks of the 16-17 centuries.
