About this 3D model
While the fortress-cities of Krevaria are well-defended against air attack, formations operating in the field require protection as mobile as they are. Missile and laser carriers provide long-and-mid-range support, but for close-in defense, the SPA/AA-2 Cerberus is the standard. Based on the successful Crocodile light tank (which itself shares a suspension with the ubiquitous Ammit series), the Cerberus features four linked autocannons tied to a reliable tracking sensor suite, all enclosed in a lightweight turret capable of rapid rotation and elevation. Early versions of the vehicle used extended-barrel machineguns in place of the autocannons, but the firepower was deemed unsatisfactory despite the higher rate of fire and ammunition load. Recent updates to the chassis have expanded the sensor suite and moved the autocannon to the flanks of the turret, with some versions trading gun firepower for guided missiles. As the dragoons move to the updated Cerberus turret, older models are being converted to Lindwurm artillery carriers. These conversions carry a variety of weapons. Quad mortars and light siege guns are intended for close-range fights in cities and other difficult terrain, while models with counterbattery sensors and field howitzers are frequently used in the counterbattery role. ------------------------------------- This kit includes the Cerberus Anti-Aircraft tank and Lindwurm Close Support Artillery, in multiple variants. The kit contains three hull variants, two major turret types, and several track options. Each turret has multiple weapons available, and the hull gun mount has over two dozen options. Finally, pintle weapons, disposable missile launchers and stowage are included. This kit is presupported, but also includes unsupported STLs for those who want to print in FDM or would prefer to handle their own supports. Approximate model dimensions: 135mm long, 80mm wide, and 75mm tall.
