Maybe I'm one of few, but I try to keep my filament in the original box when not in use. I've also been trying to keep my filament organized so I store all of my PLA matte with PLA matte, PLA Metal with PLA Metal, etc. When I put a spool in my AMS, I used these cards to mark the filament box that I took the spool out of. This helps me quickly return the spool back to its original box.
