Everything is captive, and the mechanism works like a real one. The key remains captive when the lock is in the open position. all you need is:-5 pen springs-6 M5x10mm screws That's all. If the key has difficulty entering at first, simply sand the ridges and tops of the key gently. Respect the order of the barrel pins. The "lock pins" are all identical.You have two types of lock pins, depending of the springs you're gonna find. Up to you to choose the one you prefer. The base is optional.
