The sky dwarves of the Jeweled Desert, known as Nwoda in their own language, are an adventurous, clannish people, filled with wanderlust but also with strong ties to their homeland and the floating gem clusters where they make their homes. The best-known trait of sky dwarves is their ability to make stones fly, and to perform incredible acrobatics, by the floating magic they call yahum. A nwoda is a muscular dwarf with gemlike crystalline growths where other humanoids grow hair. The color of these growths depends on the dwarf’s clan, be it Emerald (green), Amethyst (purple), Ruby (red) or Sapphire (blue). Records tell of a lost tribe of Diamond (white) sky dwarves, but the Nwoda don’t like to talk about their fallen brethren.
