The design has a water drainage system and a roof to keep the food in the best condition in all weather. The roof has a typical Flemisch “golfplaat” design. “Golfplaten” (orginally made from asbestos cement and invented by Eternit ) were used extensively up until the 1990's as cheap roofing for animal shelters and farm buildings. Both the feeder plate and the roof are designed to fit on a standard 28,5mm broomstick that you can buy in any DIY store. Just add a few screws in the foreseen holes and you're good to go.
