Version 3 is out. The changes seems small but greatly improved fitting and durability. To install, slightly bend the parts inward, slide the “hook” side in first then the other. For just 15 minutes and 4g of filament, this snap on protective cap will keep dust and filament away from your stepper motor and, therefore, possibly increasing its lifespan. Doesn't require support/brim. What's changed in version 3, Biggest Improvement : Added a small slit in the frame of the cover. This change allows the part to bend slightly, taking off pressure from the clips. Allowing for smaller yet more durable clips. The reduced clips' size will be less likely to interfere with the belt as pointed by one of the comments. An indentation has been added to the inner side for easy removal now optimized for printing in 0.2 layer height (print time from 20 mins down to just above 13mins) P.S.
