About this 3D model

Model Description:This download contains a highly detailed model of a Panzer I AusF F, The armored breakthrough version of the Panzer I. Documentation and references for the real vehicle were rigorously studied to make the model as geometrically accurate as possible, except in the cases where printability would have to be sacrificed (such as the fender thickness). Historical Description:The Panzer I was originally designed as a training tank for the German army, meant to prepare crews for heavier vehicles. The vehicle did end up seeing combat during World War 2 despite its original purpose. Experience with the vehicle helped shape the concept of the blitzkrieg. The vehicle was equipped with a pair of MG 13 machine guns mounted in the turret. The armor on the base vehicle was very thin, however the Panzer I F, being a breakthrough tank would have drastically more armor. The Panzer I AusF F was the final vehicle designated as a Panzer I. Beyond the name and armaments however, it was an entirely new vehicle. It weighed between 3 and 4 times as much as a regular Panzer I and had the armor increased from 12-15mm to 80mm. The vehicle featured interleaved wheel suspension, like the Panzer I AusF C, but was again an entirely different vehicle. The vehicle was very slow due to an underpowered engine and only 30 were produced before cancellation. In Armored Advance:In armored advance the Panzer I Ausf F is expensive for being an MG platform that can only combat infantry units. The vehicle does however feature significant armoring, allowing it to get in close and stay there unless heavier firepower is pointed at it. The vehicle is very slow and may be better suited to defending objectives from infantry attacks, rather than pushing onto the other player's.
