This Collins Class submarine scale model has been developed by Titans Product Design to accurately represent one of the most distinctive conventionally powered submarines in modern naval service. The design emphasises correct proportions, a clean external silhouette, and realistic detailing suitable for serious scale modellers and professional display use. The model captures the defining features of the Collins class, including its large hull diameter, tall sail, and characteristic casing profile. Detail has been intentionally kept refined and realistic, reflecting the functional and purposeful design language of the real submarine rather than exaggerated surface features. About the Real Collins Class:The Collins-class submarine forms the backbone of Australia’s conventional submarine force. Entering service in the 1990s, the class was designed specifically for long-range operations across the vast distances of the Indo-Pacific region. Based on an enlarged and modified Swedish design, the Collins class combines significant range, endurance, and payload capacity with advanced sensors and combat systems. Despite early developmental challenges, the class has undergone extensive upgrades and remains a highly capable and strategically important asset within the Royal Australian Navy.
