As the Bambu Lab AMS does not support TPU filament, and TPU filament is highly susceptible to moisture, it needs to be stored in a separate dry box. Furthermore, due to TPU filament’s high elasticity, the filament diameter will shrink after being stretched to a certain length, making it difficult for the extruder gear to mesh properly with the filament. Bottom roller-type spool holders have the issue of the spool being too heavy, causing the extruder to be unable to bite the thinned filament to pull the spool, resulting in a failure to extrude smoothly and ultimately causing printing failure. This spool holder features a detachable handle structure. By hooking the axle wheel onto the handle, the spool can be easily removed from the narrow rice bucket drying box, improving the convenience of spool replacement. The joint location of the handle and the base has been designed with a guide slot structure, facilitating quick alignment. *This spool holder requires the purchase of two standard 608ZZ bearings. *The length, width, and height dimensions of this spool holder are: 223mm x 100mm x 217mm, compatible with 5.8L rice buckets available on the market. *During installation, it is recommended to wrap the ends of the axle wheel with PTFE sealing tape several times before installing the bearing, to prevent the bearing from falling off the axle rod when replacing the spool. *Considering that different materials have different shrinkage rates, for ease of installation, the cross-section of each mounting hole is non-circular. For most conventional materials with a low shrinkage rate, such as PLA and PLA-CF, the finished product may exhibit looseness. It is recommended to use superglue for bonding and fixing after installation. This pre-designed tolerance mainly considers that if there is a gap in the assembled part, it can be combined with glue. However, if the hole shrinkage rate is too high, preventing the handle from being inserted, it will result in the scrapping of the handle parts and wasting printing time.
