About this 3D model

Here is a relief map of Mount Sinabung which had a recent spectacular explosion. The data comes from an Aster Global Dem, ASTGTM2_N03E098_dem.tif, which can be accessed via Earth Explorer - http://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/ See thing:168477 Relief Map of Bora Bora for more details. Some have asked for more information about these relief maps and complete details are provided. A fortran program is included which directly outputs an stl file. The file was converted to its binary form; either netfabb Studio or MeshLab can be used, giving mount_sinabung.stl. The stl file was scaled and labeled with a simple openSCAD program to give mount_sinabung_labeled.stl.
