About this 3D model

May 14,2026 Important information about the display: The four mounting tabs on the display must be cut off in order for the display to fit properly into the enclosure. When ordering the display, make sure the package includes: a flat micro HDMI cable the USB power cable that connects directly to the display driver board Only the displays listed in the BOM are confirmed to fit this enclosure design. If you purchase the display from another seller, make sure it uses the same PCB layout as the one shown in the BOM. Otherwise, the enclosure may not fit correctly because there will be no proper access to the HDMI and USB ports. I’m also working on a full assembly video, which should hopefully be available later this week. May 12, 2026 New update available! The new modular case design is now available and allows you to place the components inside the enclosure however you want. The old version will be removed in the next few days. A new update and full assembly video are also coming soon. The BOM files will change as well, with more configuration options available in the next update. The display will remain the same. If you are not in a hurry, it may be worth waiting until the end of May, as a few more things will change. The design is very similar to the 5 inch version, with only minimal changes. The assembly process is basically the same, so I didn’t create a separate build video for this version. There will be updates in the future, and I really appreciate all feedback and ideas. If you would like to modify something, feel free to reach out – I try to help everyone as much as possible. ? I have tested multiple DACs, and I recommend choosing one based on your personal preference and budget, as there are significant differences in both price and quality. ⚠️ Important: This version requires a larger 3D printer, with a minimum build size of 255 mm. ?️ Printing: I used Rapid PETG material. For a clean final result, the parts were sanded, primed in multiple steps, and painted. ? Basic technical skills are required for assembly, but if you enjoy DIY projects and tinkering, it should not be difficult to build. ? If you run into any issues, I’m happy to help – feel free to contact me via email.
