About this 3D model

Hello MakerWorld Community & A1 owners! I created this design because I've heard many stories of spools falling off the AMS lite. Personally, it has not happened to me, but I do not have mine mounted to the frame of my A1. Currently (02/21/2024), I can confirm this part fits perfectly with my BBL spools on my AMS lite. I am already working on the design variation for non-BBL spools, and I hope to release this to the community in the next few days! Thank you for supporting me by leaving a comment or review with a picture of your lock in action! Feel free to contact me via the comments if you have any questions, special requests, issues, printer troubleshooting, etc. Design Parameters: SECURE! Support-Free Flush Fitting Simple (does not require assembly or post-processing) Easy (quickly install and remove) Customizable (yes!) Printing Guidelines: I included three plates in my printing profile. The first plate is 4 locks arranged in the center and printed by layer. The second plate is 4 locks arranged for clearance and printed by object. The third plate is a single lock. Feel free to optimize settings for your filament! As this is the early stages, I've only used PLA, but PETg is probably the final material of choice. I will explore further the ability to customize the design on the bottom face of the lock, but I really look forward to seeing how you all choose to add labels and graphics! Future Developements: Under the umbrella of this project, I will be continuing to refine the model and print profiles based on everyone's feedback. Also, I am currently designing the lock that will fit with non-babmulab spools. There are variations in the spool width among manufacturers, so the design will hopefully address this in an adaptable way. Considerations: Please follow the copyright guidelines. I developed this model entirely using my tools, time, and experience. I ask that you all respect the content I bring to the community by not redistributing or republishing my work or likenesses of my designs. Doing this will help ensure I receive the proper feedback and credit to improve this model and all future work so that this community can benefit. That being said, I have no problem with anyone adding customizations to the model for their own personal use. If you are a content creator, I ask that you please credit my work IF MY WORK IS VISIBLE ON YOUR CONTENT. Thank You All!
