AMS / AMS 2 Filament Type Selection Sign If you've ever had the situation of having 2-3 times the same Filament color but of different materials in the AMS you might have wished for the same thing - an easy way to mark the current material in each AMS Slot. Especially for us P1 users who can't see it on the small printer display or people with multiple AMS units. I've seen approaches with a holder for a piece of paper or hanging signs that need to be stored somewhere else and be manually swapped. I wanted something easier so it's quickly done even in the laziest moments. That's why I've created these little signs that easily attach to the AMS front and allow you to select the current material Type with a simple slider. It includes: PLA PLA-CF PETG PETG-CF ABS ASA PC PA PA-CF PP HIPS Mounting Details: The sign itself has a low friction fit too the AMS. It holds on itself, but if you prefer a more sturdy fit you could add a little strip of double sided tape. I didn't want to make it too narrow to not scratch anything. The slider itself slides from the top into the sign and has two grooves that keep it in place. For best results I recommend printing the Slider in TPU because the friction of the material helps to keep it in place, but in my tests PLA worked fine too. Slider sizes: “Slider” on plate 02 has the loosest fit and the highest tolerance. Mainly for people that want to “try” a PLA one. “Slider mid” on plate 06 is an in between if you feel like one is too tight or too lose. “Slider tight tpu” on plate 03 is the one with the tightest fit and the one I use on a daily basis on mine. I would recommend it only for TPU. The first time it's inserted it can be pretty stiff, but after sliding it once or twice up and down it gets a little more loose Tiny Details: The font is the same as it's been used by the popular BaBo Drawer System that many use to store their printer Accessories. I decided to go not too wide, so it's still possible to easily see the popular silica gel containers and hygrometers in between. Updates: 24.02.2024: Based on the first feedback I've added a blank version so people can add their own text in the slicer. But I'll also keep checking the comments in the upcoming days and weeks to add more finished variants for the most common requests. 25.02.2024: Added a third “mid” slider size and another version of the sign that has a more narrow line spacing but more PLA sub types. 30.08.2025: Updated the print profile because the old file had issues with some new prime tower settings in Bambu Studio. Please make sure to use the latest Version if you print through Bambu Studio. Boosts are greatly appreciated.
