About this 3D model

Butterfly mines, such as the BLU-43B Dragontooth, are miniature anti-infantry mines used by the United States during the Vietnam War to impede the transportation of Vietnamese troops. Their unique shape and low cost, combined with their small explosive payload, meant that they typically only caused partial foot amputations rather than being lethal. However, their pressure-sensitive fuses were highly sensitive, and once disarmed, they could not be re-armed, creating a significant risk to civilians. This factor, combined with the large quantities deployed and difficulty of clearance, made them a dangerous weapon. After the Vietnamese captured these mines, the Soviets copied them and produced their own PFM-1 mine, which, due to its shape, was nicknamed the "butterfly mine."
