On one side the two ports can be considered to be IN and OUT. On the other side the two ports can be considered to be PORT A and PORT B. The valve takes a standard 5mm shaft, Thru half the cycle IN is connected to PORT A and OUT is connected to PORT B. As the shaft turns, thru the second half of the cycle IN will be connected to PORT B and OUT to PORT A. The switching valve can be used be used to make engines with pneumatic cylinders.
