About this 3D model

I am truly inspired by the original design of the Joy Fidget V2.0 by TomoDesign and find it absolutely fantastic. However, I had a specific vision in mind that incorporated a joystick similar to those found on game controllers. This led me to create a remix of the original design, introducing a joystick that is restricted to move downward and backward only. This modification enhances the rotation along the x and y axes, making it more pleasing and intuitive. Additionally, it allows for an upward flick, but the joystick is designed to return to its original position after use. Aside from the joystick modification, I've made minimal changes to the original design. One notable adjustment is to the base, which has been modified to simplify the printing of overhangs. While this change sacrifices the smooth curvature of the original, it ensures the base is uniformly flat and can be printed without issues. To further enhance the experience and emulate the feel of a game controller joystick, I have also designed an additional cap for the model. This cap requires more force to move the joystick, achieved by doubling the thickness of the spiral mechanism. This modification provides a more authentic and engaging feel, closely mirroring the resistance experienced with traditional controller sticks. The modifications are clearly visible in the cross-sectional images provided in the screenshots. I encourage you to visit TomoDesign's profile and support him through his Patreon account , expressing your likes and love for the original work. This model is released under the same guidelines as established by the original creator, honoring the spirit of sharing and innovation in the 3D printing community.
