Open Limb will be a free and open project, available for download and use without restrictions. It is developed with the goal of supporting accessibility, innovation, and community-driven growth. By making Open Limb freely available, we encourage collaboration, learning, and the creation of new possibilities. The mechanical design of this prosthetic is complete and fully functional. Please note that from an electrical and control systems perspective, the design is still under development. The reason I’m starting to sell this project in its current form is to raise funds for the next stage — the PCB and hardware development required to make the prosthetic fully operational. By purchasing this STL file, you are supporting the continued development of this project and helping bring it closer to a complete, functional prosthetic solution. The first iteration of the prosthetic is estimated to cost around 550 EUR, while the second iteration’s development is expected to cost around 350 EUR, making it more affordable after development.
