About this 3D model
A version of the laser cut 2plex kit designed for chipboard (standard 0.022 inch thick sheets). The svg documents are 10.5 inches x 8 inches, rendered at 72 ppi. There are documents (packed with pieces of a single type) for triangles, squares, pentagons, hexagons, octagons, decagons, and rectangles. The edge length of the regular polygons is 1 inch. Many projects are possible: archimedean solids, johnson solids, stellations, and others. My favorite, though, is the "huge tiny cardboard" (project codename) series, whereby I built platonic solid models whose vertices were themselves models of archimedean solids. The videos explain construction methods and give an idea of the engineering possibilities.
