This is a latch for a carboard box. Works great for Amazon boxes and the like. To install the latch follow these steps: Place hook so it lies across where the box opens Stab the lid with a ball point pen where the fastener should go through the box Push the screw through the hole on the top of the box lid then screw the cap on from the underside of the box lid Close the box so the hook lays where it's going to be closed Stab the box with a ball point pen right in the middle of the hook loop Push the latch button screw through the new hole on the top and the screw the cap on from the underside of the box lid These lie relatively flat, so boxes with these latches on can be reasonably well stacked on top of one another.
