Its fresh waters are home to hundreds of varieties of fish, mollusks, and other water creatures which are captured by the relentless fishers of Menne- sker. Few fish catchers in Eluan can enjoy life like the ones of Mennesker. In part, this is because of the types of catch, whose flavors — thanks to the river’s waters — seduce even the pickiest of taste buds. Mennesker survived its first years thanks to the fishers, who faced the Vennes’ tempestuous waters, and bled to catch substance for them and their fellow townsfolk. Sailors around Eluan value Mennesker fishers, and recruit them. Their fishing methods are martial, extremely disciplined, and aimed at making lethal strikes as fast as possible. This is born from centuries of fishing in the Vennes river, which is also home to huge and dangerous species of fish. When they fish these large species, they use their stylized harpoons which are superior and sharper than many pole weapons.
