About this 3D model

This is my first attempt at drawing a printable thing. I drew it is Google sketchup and then used the skp_to_dxf.rbz extension to export it as an stl file This is my best extrapolation of a small plastic part that came with every Canon AE-1 and AE-1 Program Camera. Its purpose in life is to cover the Viewfinder opening when the Camera is being used without a head/eye peering into the viewfinder and thus light could leak in and cause the Light metering to mis-expose a picture (example: taking what is now called a "selfie"). These were easily lost (most people thought it's purpose was to cover the hotshoe on the top of the camera because that was where you stored it when not in use). It also is used to open the battery compartment.
