About this 3D model
::Still a work in progress and untested! Beware! Needed to mount my DIY LED lamp for my Native Kayak. Where I'm from, there are a large number of Native Mariner Propel owners. The most common diy lamp for the yak involves a 22mm Outer Diameter PVC pipe which is "pushed" into the side slots. I'm upgrading to a Native Slayer Propel and would like to make use of the tracks/rails that it provides. I will secure a 1.5" ball ram mount to the track and secure this object on the mount. (The ball mount is used so that I can tilt the lamp over the water while fishing or to make it flush with the kayak when stored) - The screw hole is currently slightly smaller than that needed for a 1/4". This is intentional but I will be making it larger in another version so that the object can bend easily. - v1 is incredibly thick, and in some places, unnecessarily so. It is also nigh on impossible to bend by hand (undesirable as I need to tighten it against the mount) - v1 has been tested against a 22mm pipe. With some finishing, it will fit very nicely. - v2 reduces plastic use and also introduces more empty spaces in the "grip" area, hopefully so that it can bend. - Neither versions have been tested against the ram mount yet. - It is my intention to print every layer as a solid layer. This has the added bonus of simplifying any possible derivatives.
