[Medium Sized Model - 25mm Base] [Presupported with LYS files in 32mm & 75mm Scale] The War Chief of the village of Skildavold, Magnar has ruled since the Himlingr first made themselves known to mortals of Nordheim. Among the Chiefs, he was chosen as their champion; a proud warrior with a stout heart and stern hand, with unwavering loyalty to his clan, and his divine. Magnar is thus seen as the patriarch among the various villages of Nordheim, the closest thing to a jarl or king that the region has, with his rule graced by the divine. Magnar, like his many forefathers, has ruled as the chief of Skildavold since the passing of his father. Whilst peace within Nordheim has been the way for most of Magnar’s rule, it has not meant that he has lived a life of complacency, rather the opposite as he has spent the entirety of his rule preparing his kin for the coming war. Whether it be the raiders of Alimroth settling their lands, or High Elves from Leacianus fleeing into their fertile woods. Thus he has instilled in all the men of his village a sense for battle, putting swords and axes into the hands of boys as early as they can lift them, teaching them to swing, block, parry; how to fight dirty and slay one’s foe, whatever the cost. Even beyond the warrior caste of the clans, Magnar ensures every man and boy can wield a blade, across all of Nordheim. For though he is the Chief of Skildavod, his rule is blessed by the divine, with Hel herself endorsing Magnar as her living champion among mortals, and that his word is her word, lest they hear otherwise. Thus, his rule is coveted by his fellow chiefs, whom he sees as his underlings, rather than equals. Rivalry between them is fierce, though they tow the line and respect the divine presence of his rule, at least until a chance is given to overturn it. But for now, Magnar prepares for the coming tide of interlopers that threatens the sanctity of Nordheim. Whilst he has no doubt the divine will steer his hands and safeguard his people, he knows he and his warriors must be the first line of defense in their way of life. However, he remains ignorant to the dark underpinnings upon which the pantheon he worships is founded, and wilfully dismisses claims of dark cults of Hel cropping up through the land, performing human sacrifices to his matron. For Magnar, it is not a possibility that the divine would lie to him, nor that threats to Nordheim would come from within, rather than beyond. If his eyes and ears were forced to be bound to the truth, he might have a change of heart.
