About this 3D model

This box is an extension of the previously released Geared Mechanical Dice Box. It uses the same design idea of a bottom and top sungear and 8 turning gear rods. However this time, the lid opens up with a tilting motion of the doors instead of a spinning motion.Although the box is fully compatible with the Geared Mechanical Dice Box, due to the same dimensions of the box, the gear rods and the bottom sungear, every part has a different look. This means that you could combine different parts from this design with the ones from the Geared Mechanical Dice Box. The download also includes a few different inserts to divide the contents of the box. All parts are assembled without the need of any extra parts such as glue or screws, since everything is 3D-printed. Note:With some filaments, especially silk filaments (which have a sticky surface), the mechanism can be a little stiff. In that case I recommend adding lubricant to the contact areas of the gears and gear rods.
