This adapter allows you to connect a threaded hose connector typically found in electric pumps to any adapter or wing/kite with the slightly shorter bayonet style input. The threaded part of the adapter has two possible spots for rubber O-rings. I had a set of AS568 O-rings available. The larger size is AS568 size 117 and the smaller one is size 113. You can use the adapter without the O-rings, but I recommend having at least one of them or both. You can also use plumber's (teflon) tape to make the connection tighter. I have tested this adapter with several different electric pump hoses and adjusted the design so that it is compatible with all of the ones I had access to. The thread seems to be poorly standardized, so there may still be pumps out there that are not compatible with this adapter. The kite/wing bayonet connector is probably the most common connector on hand pumps for kite- and wingsurfing. A wide variety of different types of adapters exist for this connector. One common problem with the bayonet is that even though it is easy to use and tends to be secure when new, it can become loose over time and can twist off relatively easily. If the shape is duplicated exactly and 3D-printed, the 3D printed bayonet will have a tendency to eventually break at a layer line. This innovative redesign of the kite/wing bayonet solves both of these problems: it's both durable and will not accidentally twist off while pumping. Note that due to the unique internal structure of the connector, it is only available as a "print in place" design where the rotating collar has to be freed to rotate 90° around the main body for the adapter to work.
