Tribe memberships also come with significant discounts to all my 3D-printable models! The kite/wing bayonet connector is probably the most common connector on hand pumps for kite- and wingsurfing. A wide variety of different types of adapters exist for this connector. One common problem with the bayonet is that even though it is easy to use and tends to be secure when new, it can become loose over time and can twist off relatively easily. If the shape is duplicated exactly and 3D-printed, the 3D printed bayonet will have a tendency to eventually break at a layer line. This innovative redesign of the kite/wing bayonet solves both of these problems: it's both durable and will not accidentally twist off while pumping. Note that due to the unique internal structure of the connector, it is only available as a "print in place" design where the rotating collar has to be freed to rotate 90° around the main body for the adapter to work. Null Adapter use cases: This locking collar bayonet doesn't come loose when the pump hose rotates during inflation. Less air leakage and a more secure connection than with most standard pump hoses. Use this adapter to fix a broken bayonet connector. Simply tape it to the broken connector. I recommend taping this adapter to your standard hose so that the connection between the hose and this adapter is airtight. The twist lock bayonet is compatible with all the same adapters and products as the original bayonet connector on your hose. P.S. I call this the "Null Adapter because while the twist lock design is superior to the simple bayonet on most kite/wing pump hoses, it's also compatible with the same wings, kites and plug adapters as the original.
