All the models are test printed and presupported when needed. I am always in search for models that can be used to make combat both visually and mechanically more interesting, and this is an attempt at that. I picture this set used in two different ways: as a backdrop and centerpiece of two different fights/encounters or combined as one single puzzle-combat. The portal part speaks for itself: a lizardfolk door to other dimensions (or even times?!) that is open for characters to run through, can be opened through some ritual, or must be closed in order to stop the monstrous hordes coming in through it. All calendar layers are meant to be rotated and can be used to visually represent the parts of a puzzle. Maybe characters need to find the right combination to access the next room of the dungeon, or they need to select the correct date in the past in which to travel - or the right coordinates in the present - by passing through the portal. Painting the stone details with different colors (different gems?) can really help with selling visually those ideas. You can even use the parts of the portal as they are to make the top of the Pyramid and other rooms and walls more decorated; you can use them in bases of large monsters or in dioramas, and so on. I put a simple plinth in the same style in there to make additional puzzle options available, depending what props or object your characters may have to put in to activate the calendar (Crystals? Exotic flowers? If these are not heavy metal enough: skulls! Beating hearts!)
