The dilapidated Homestead looks as if it's on the brink of collapse, but it has served the family within for many generations. They aren't about to fix it now. Many of the common folk of Hagglethorn Hollow make their homes of thatch and stucco. These humble homesteads are where the heroes of the rustic rebellion are born and raised, where the bread rises by the hearth, and where the chickens, on a good day, stay out of the soup. Generations later, the Homestead still stands. After a fashion. With the roof gutted open after some calamity, the Ruined Homestead provides excellent positions for archers and spellcasters to attack from while maintaining cover. The hearth is cold, the family long gone, but the walls hold. Mostly. Hagglethorn Hollow is a township built over the ruins of buildings that were built over the ruins of other buildings. As time passes, new adventurers discover the Hollow and rebuild it to their needs, only for some ancient forgotten calamity to rise once more and level the town to its foundations, leaving no survivors to warn of the cycle. The Homestead has seen the cycle turn many times. It is, by some measures, still mid-turn. Bring Johnny Fraser-Allen's hand-crafted world of Hagglethorn Hollow to your tabletop. This print-ready STL set is part of the official Hagglethorn Hollow building line, hand-drawn, physically sculpted, and digitally scanned at the highest resolution by Johnny himself. No AI involvement at any stage of the design or sculpt. Every shingle, beam, and rope binding is the work of human hands. A note from Johnny: "While sculpting out the rough shape of the thatched roof of the Homestead, it became apparent that a typical peaked thatch roof would probably look basic and uninteresting for the style that was quickly defining Hagglethorn Hollow. That's how the details, like the wooden disks that bind the ropes and the wood-framed tower, came about. It would add interest and character to the silhouette and also add additional building materials to vary color and textures. As the Homestead evolved, it also informed the decision not to over-detail the thatch elements, to keep an illustrative look on the tabletop while avoiding any confusion with the grain textures in the wooden elements. All of these design discoveries became the rule for the many buildings that would follow." The Homestead is, in many ways, the building that taught the rest of Hagglethorn Hollow how to look. This bundle includes two complete versions: The Homestead (intact) A small two-part thatched house originally hand-sculpted by Johnny, scanned and optimized for 3D printing. Multiple internal play areas, with the wood-framed tower and rope-bound thatch giving it a silhouette no other Hagglethorn Hollow building shares. The Homestead (ruined) The same building, generations later. Roof gutted open, walls weathered, story unfinished. Fully compatible footprint with the intact version for timeline-jumping campaigns, swampland encounters, and "what happened here?" scenarios. The exposed interior gives clear firing lines for ranged combatants. The Homestead shares its ground floor with the Cottage and both ruined versions, so the buildings sit together cleanly when arranged as a connected peasant district. If you already own the Cottage bundle, the bases connect naturally and you can swap roof and upper sections across the four buildings for additional variety. Crafted for modular play, the Homestead connects seamlessly with the rest of the Hagglethorn Hollow building line, including the Cottage, Longhouse, Chieftain's Hall, and Barracks, to populate a full village. Use it as a roleplaying centerpiece, a wargaming objective, or a display piece on a shelf. Because every model was scanned at the highest resolution we could capture, these files scale cleanly from 28mm tabletop pieces up to oversized centerpieces, desk decor, or weatherproof garden ornaments.
