The Model 1938 M-30 122mm Howitzer was employed by the Red Army as its go-to medium howitzer throughout the Second World war, from the Winter War with Finland through to the Battle of Berlin. Captured models were use against their former owners by the resourceful Finns. It was then distributed to Soviet client states in the Cold War and was used in the many Middle East conflicts and the Vietnam Wars. It remains in service with some minor powers to this day.
