The inscription on this stele reads: "This tele, whose expense was met personnally by Lukios Molios Tertios, was dedicated to Zeus Dorios in the name of the villagers during the term of office of hieromnamon Zeus Serapis". Such steles were often commissioned by wealthy families with the hope of having their prayers answered by the god whom the stele was dedicated to.
