About this 3D model
Stonecutter Crabs 32mm Scale Includes Supported and Unsupported STL Files Includes Bases 25 and 30mm Round and Square These little critters are Stonecutter Crabs! In order to defend themselves they have adapted to use the most abundant resource around them in the dark dank caves and caverns, stone. Their incredibly strong claws are able to cut or break off stone pieces. They then collect these bits of rock and stone and haul them back to their dens. There they create a viscous sticky fluid that they produce from their mouths and spew it onto the stone. This substance much like a type of glue enables them to stick the rocks to their shell for both camouflage and defense. After a while the Stonecutter Crab outgrows its carapace and molts. Leaving behind its stony armour it now seeks bigger and better stones and the process starts over again.
