They can grow to tremendous sizes and are among the most dangerous of the spirits of the isles. Pele'uha have short tempers, and are very easy to anger. As such, areas protected by these spirits are typically considered off-limits by the natives of the Isles. In times of dire need, these natives will prepare gifts representing their watchful care over the isles they inhabit, hoping that these will quell the potential wrath of the Pele'uha, and allow them to pass through its territory unharmed.
