About this 3D model
Acquired in 1975Marble, around 175 BC The ruler's headband in his short hair and the exceptionally physiognomic features, matching those of the Seleucid king on coins, mean we can say for certain that this represents Antiochus IV of Syria (r. 175 - 164 BC). The smaller than life-size head was designed to be incorporated in a statue. This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
